AI Researcher and Engineer
Hi there!
I'm a scientist and engineer who's excited about the prospects for using AI to understand and improve life. I work as a Senior ML Scientist at BigHat Biosciences, solving problems in AI for protein design. During my PhD at the Carnegie Mellon ML Department, I developed graph learning methods for large-scale human genomics and transcriptomics data. Since then, I've worked on precision medicine at Tempus Labs, on robust deep learning for photonic computers at Lightmatter, and on semantic search at Amazon Alexa.
In my free time, I've worked on the "grabby aliens" astrobiological model with Robin Hanson, and on interpolating between linear preprocessing and quantile transformation for tabular ML, among other things. If any of the above topics interest you, please do not hesitate to reach out!
